What is a dental filling?
A filling repairs a tooth that has been damaged by decay or a small fracture. The dentist removes the damaged part of the tooth, cleans the area, and restores the shape of the tooth with a filling material. Which material is suitable depends on the tooth and is discussed at your visit.
